Looking at future expansion possibilities, the town of Live Oak was designed to preserve the historic center of town while providing for the increasing population.
Live Oak would provide a new center of commerce for the region, bringing in businesses and a grocery store. Creation of a beautiful and safe pedestrian network was vital. Parking was relegated to internal parking lots and street parking.
St. Tammany Park was the center of the residential neighborhood and provided traffic calming.
